6th October 2008 Windsurfing: Club Perili-Turkey Wind Direction: all over the place! Wind Stength: light Surf / Sea State: flat Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: sunny Max Speed: zip Distance Covered: quite a lo Start with a walk in the hills to breakfast get snorkels from the reception and canoe over to Anderson Island, stopping on the far side of the island to snorkel. Loads of fish. Picnic lunch on the island. Relax on the beach then take mag out on the starboard tandom with 6 and 4.5 m sails. Wnd off shore and with no dagger board getting back was a non-starter but we made it out past the island and did a very elegant gybe!!!!!!!!! but tacking was a nightmare and as Mag hasnt been out for seven years and has never been completely hooked on the sport! We hitched a ride back on the rescue boat because she just couldnt hold the sail any more - we did have a laugh though and it would have been good to get the hang of both moving round the sail in a tack together!!!!!!!!!!!! Relaxed in the room, watched the lazor racng, tea and cake and then 1 1/2 hours of yoga - mega. Just in time for more eating. A great way to spend your birthday!!!:) |
